His Excellency Abid Hussain Ambassador of India
2107 Massachusetts Ave. N.W. Washington D.C 20008
Dear Mr. Ambassador
I had the occasion to attend in the company of Sikh community leaders a meeting arranged by the CCIM (Consultative Committee of Indian Muslims) on November 171990 at the Elston Street Mosque in Chicago. The meeting was called to discuss the “issues facing the minorities in India”. It was an experience and an education.
I have been aware that the Indian Brahmin Ruling Elite has been able to keep from being told the story of the genocide of the minorities in India under which according to Mr.Khushwant Singh your country’s leading pro-establishment journalist 36500 Sikhs and Muslims were murdered in the year 1990. Until I attended the November 17 meeting in the Elston Street Mosque I could never figure out how the Indian government did it. Now I think I know.
The November 17 meeting in the Elston Street Mosque was an eye opener as I realized for the first time that the minions of the Indian government have succeeded in infiltrating Mosques as they did the Gurdwara’s after 1984. I was shocked to learn after the meeting that one of your subordinates a Hindu diplomat from the Indian Consulate Chicago in collusion with another person had the temerity to attend the meeting incognito and tape record the open and sometimes emotional proceedings without our knowledge and permission. I hope the Indian Consulate realizes that American laws forbid “unbridled and inappropriate covert activity” especially when it could lead to murder arson rape blackmail and intimidation against the Indian relatives of the targeted persons by the “humane” Indian police.
It seems my humble efforts (to which I have every legal and moral right) to expose the state sponsored terror arson rape pillage and other atrocities in occupied Kashmir (my former homeland) and Punjab must have hit the bull’s-eye as I have been made a target of threats over the phone. This phenomenon started when I queried the United Nations about a UN correspondent who represents a non-existent paper Kashmir Times “Srinigar”. There is no such paper in the Indian occupied Srinagar and yet there is a journalist listed as such in the U.N.C.A. Directory who prowls the UN’s corridors as its representative. It is obvious to me that the U.S. laws are being broken and the Kashmir freedom movement is being confused. The noble profession of journalism is being used as a cover for “other” activities at the U.N. for which India has had ample opportunity since 1982.
Sir I am writing to you with a request nay an appeal to keep if you can a rein on your country’s intelligence operatives in the United States the citadel of freedom in this world. I am also requesting that no Indian intelligence activity or intimidation be organized under the cover of a Mosque in collaboration with some weak-kneed twofaced congregants as it was on November 17 in the Elston Street Mosque in Chicago.
