The unfortunate evens in India in these years certainly deserve serious attention from all peace lovers. His Holiness Pope John Paul I as the Head of the Catholic Church and also as an earnest advocate of justice and peace is grieved at the sad news from India May I advise you to contact the Apostolic Pro Nuncio in Washington and follow his counsel (3339 Massachusetts Avenue N.W. Washington D.C. 20008-3687). The present Pro Nuncio H.E. Mons. Agostino Cacciavillan is well informed about the situation in India as he was the Pro Nuncio there before he was transfer radio Washington. Hoping and praying for an early settlement of the current problems and the establishment of lasting peace in India a country that was known for its religious tolerance and practice of nonviolence I wish you Gods blessing.
