SACRAMENTO, CA: A private school has been opened by the Nanak Sar Thath Isher Darbar in Sacramento, called Bhai Daya Singh Khalsa Academy, the school is open to students of any sex, race, color and national or ethnic origin, Dedicated to academic excellence, it“aims to provide a rich and challenging experience which will enable students to develop both educationally and spiritually” Says it prospect us.

The Nanaksar that Isher Darbar Society headed by Sant Baba Amar Singh is a nonprofit organization which is successfully nunning a schools, a technical college and a hospital in India. In UK it started the Guru Nanak Sikh College. Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, while in Amritsar the foundation started the Sahibzada Ajit Singh Khalsa College. The Academy al Sacramento is only an extension of its activities in the fold.

An official release by the Foundation says, the Khalsa Academy will have English as the medium of instruction and its curriculum will cover a full range of subjects’ as found in the public sector. In addition children will be taught Punjabi and Sikh studies as well as Kirtan.
