AMRITSAR: The All India Sikh. Students Federation on Tuesday declared Khalistan to be its goal. S Harminder Singh Sandhu gen secretary of the AISSF said that there would be no direct talks with the Indian government. The condition for talks would be they are held under the ageism of the UN.

Soon after his release from jail he issued a statement which also said that the AISSF would soon wrest control of the SGPC, the Golden Temple complex and set up a machinery parallel to the government to administer justice both at individual and community level. He said there can be no compromise on these issues and Khalsa Panchayats would soon be set up.

Federation president S Manjit Singh who was present in the Diwan Hall of the Manji Sahib endorsed Mr Sandhu’s views. Mr Sandhu said he stood by the declaration of Khalistan made by the Panthic panel on April 29 1986. Our clear aim is a sovereign state. On Mr Mann’s stand on a constitutional solution, he said the AISSF had an independent identity.
