JABALPUR: Justice Krishna Kant Adhikar a sitting Judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, committed suicide by shooting himself with a revolver at his residence on April 28.
The police said Adhikari had locked himself in his bathroom. His son, Adtya who forced opened. the door, found Adhikari lying in a pool of blood with a bullet wound on his left temple. The Judge was declared dead before a doctor could attend on him.
Justice Adhikari, a law graduate from Nagpur University shifted to Jabalpur when his father was appointed the first Advocate General of the newly formed Madhya Pradesh High Court in 1956.
He started his legal career as a Government advocate in the Madhya Pradesh High Court in 1963 and was elevated as a Judge in 1983.
