LOS ANGELES: Jiwanjit Singh son of Mr Kirpal Singh and Mrs. Naginder Kaur was married to Miss Avneet Kaur d/o Mrs & Mr Kulwant Singh on Saturday April 14, 1990 at Gurdwara Buena Park (L.A) The marriage was solemnized in accordance with the Sikh rites in the presence of large number of friends and relatives. The “bridegroom Jiwanjit is a civil engineer from Guru Nanak Dev. Engineering College Ludhiana. His parents originally belong to Amritsar, who spent their whole life in other parts of India before migrating to USA. His father retired as Deputy Manager (mechanical) from steel plant at Rourkela in 1987.
Bride’s parents originally belong to Bassian district Ludhiana. Her father S. Kulwant Singh retired as SDE from PWD (irrigation branch) in June 1988. Convent educated Ayneet is now working as a teacher after getting BSc degree from DAV College.
Jiwanjit is nephew of S. Nirmal Singh vice president of Sikh Temple Vermont L.A. He is a well-known industrialist.
Bridegroom’s family donated $250.00 to WSN on this occasion.
