Nanded: Maharashtra: Jathedar Kahan Singh of Nander Sahib and his bodyguard were shot dead by some unknown assailants. They were sleeping outside the Gurdwara building when assailants opened fire at them. The killers escaped after shooting them down. Police have started a vigorous search for the killers.
Meanwhile B.B.C. reported the wounding of two persons in a gun attack on a bank in Amnitsar. The gunman of the bank and another employee were seriously wounded in the attack. The miscreants, however, failed to loot the bank.
