JAMMU: The Inter Service Intelligence network of Pakistan has been providing guidelines to secessionists in Kashmir valley, J.M. Qureshi, advisor to the Jammu and Kashmir governor said here.

Qureshi, who is here on a three day visit to the region told newsmen that the authorities found a booklet prepared by the ISI in the name of an outlawed militant outfit in the Kashmir valley.

He said the booklet contains guidelines for the militants on ways to carry out secessionist activities.

Qureshi also said that creation of splinter subversive groups was the brainchild of the ISL.

With the creation of more and more militant groups, Qureshi said the IS] ensured continuity of secessionist activities.

He said the success of the security forces’ drive against militants, had virtually stopped “new recruitments”. But the authorities are concerned about Kashmiri youths who are across the border receiving training in armed subversion. The advisor said the 2000 subversives in the state continued to receive arms from across the border on a regular basis.

He said off late, the outlawed HizbulMujahidin group has turned stronger and was responsible for maximum killings in the valley resulting in exodus of minorities communities add Punjab Two Pakistan intruders and four were among 16 persons killed Thursday and a victim of the August 22 Amritsar bomb blast died in a hospital on Friday.

Four Pakistan intruders were captured with a large quantity of arms and ammunition and a bank was robbed of Rs.16, 000/during the period in the state.

Two militants and a girl were killed in an encounter with security forces near a farm in village Gilla in Kapurthala district on Friday, reports said.

Police raided the farm house when they were tipped off that some men with two kidnapped girls were hiding at the farm house. In an exchange of fire, two men and a kidnapped girl, identified as Narinder Kaur, were killed and another girl received bullet injuries,

Suresh Arora, senior superintendent of police of Jalandhar told PTI the men had kidnapped three girls, Jaswinder Kaur, Kulwinder Kaur and Narinder Kaur, on August 17 from different villages falling in the area. They shot dead Jaswinder Kaur after some altercation and took away the two other girls.

A militant and a person were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces near village Udho Nangal in Majitha police district, the reports said.
