SACRAMENTO, CA: Mr. Ranbir Singh Bansel migrated from India to the U.S. “The Land of Opportunity in pursuit of happiness, He was the father of six children. His wife and children joined him only a year ago. He and his wife were working day and night to meet the needs of their young family. He was a committed Sikh. He regularly worked on two Jobs. He supported his family only from the earrings of his and his wife’s hard work and did not depend on any public assistance.

His murderers have shattered the hopes and aspirations of the family and ruined the lives of six innocent children.

The killers of Mr. Bausel approached his ice cream truck with a loaded gun in their possession. This shows that the Killers had planned to kill their victim. The killers are cold blooded murderers who have no respect for human life.

Society must stand up against these senseless killings and make sure that the murderers must receive the maximum punishment for their heinous crime.

An article in the April 2, 1994 issue of the Sacramento Bee Appears to be more concerned about projecting positive image of the perpetrator of this heinous crime. We believe that the article should have focused. On the agonies and sufferings the murderers have caused to the victims’ family.

These types of heinous crimes are becoming a cancer to our society. We must untidily and courageously fight this cancer before we all become the victims of this cancer.

The terrible tragedy has brought together the community in that the local Muslim Masjid, the Hindu Temple and the six local Gurdwaras joined to offer the family financial support and assistance.

A trust account has been set up for the benefit of the victims’ family. We urge all concerned citizens to donate generously to this trust account: Address your donations to:
