NEW DELHI, India, July 14, Reuter: A helicopter carrying pilgrims to a Hindu shrine crashed in India’s Himalayan foothills on Thursday, killing all seven people on board, the Press Trust of India reported.

It said the helicopter was heading for Vaishnav Devi, a shrine in Jammu and Kashmir State credited with miraculous cures. Three of the victims were women.

The news agency gave no cause of the crash. North India has been lashed by monsoon rains over the last few days, triggering landslides that have blocked main roads.
