NEW DELHI, India: India’s Oil and Natural Gas Commission and the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre have proposed to set up a plant in Rajasthan State to recover helium from natural gas, the local Press reported.
Helium is strategic material required by nuclear and defense industries. It plays an important role in making and operating nuclear reactors, rockets, missiles and is essential as an inner gas component in breathing mixture for deep sea diving.
