NEW DELHL India, Oct. 1, Reuter: India reaffirmed on Thursday its condemnation of Fijian coup leader Colonel Sitiveni Rabuka who has revoked his country’s constitution and named himself to replace Queen Elizabeth as head of State.

“There’s no question we do not recognize this,” an external affairs minister official said.

He said T.P. Sreenivasan, Indian High Commissioner (Ambassador) in Suva met with Governor General Ratu Sir Penaia Ganilau and “reaffirmed the government of India’s continued recognition of the Governor General as representative of the Head of State”.
