Born at Village Bhanohar, District Ludhiana. After retiring from the Army (the famous Hodson’s Horse) in 1955, he settled at his Village and spent the rest of his life in the service of people of his area in general and retired soldiers in particular. He very strongly believed in the Charhdi Kala of the Khalsa Panth. He left for his heavenly abode on August 24, 1980. Always remembered and adored by his loving family, relatives and friends.
