He was born at Village Bhanohar, District Ludhiana. Retired from the Army (Hodson’s | Horse) in 1953. He then helped raise the National Institute of sports, Patiala. In 1958, I retired at his village and served his people in general and retired soldiers in particular. Always prayed and worked for the Chardhi Kala of the Khalsa Panth. Left for his Heavenly abode on August 24, 1980.
