International Institute of Gurmat Studies, Tec. (IIGS), is pleased to announce Its 28th Sikh Youth Camp USA at La Habra Heights (Los Angeles), California from Dec. 27, ’88 – Jan. 1, 89.

Through this Beventh Camp in the United States, IIGS plans to reach out to another 100 young Sikh girls and boys to provide them an opportunity to learn how to live according to the teachings of the Gurus.

Besides, they will learn Gurdwara etiquettes, practice Naam-Simram, develop group consciousness, self-discipline and practice community service. Practical ‘workshops will include classes in “Shabad Kirtan”, Gur- mukhi, Turban-tying and Tabla playing.

Fer old campers, it will be a re-union and a wonderful Opportunity to catch up on what they missed out in the previous camps.

As usual, trained lady and gantheman counselors will look to the needs and comforts of the young campers. At the end of the camp, all campers will be presented with an attractive Certificate of Participation.

The camp will be in session from the evening of Friday December 27, ’88 to of Sunday January 1, 89.

All campers will be required to report to the Camp Receptionist between 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 27, 1988 at the IGS House at La Habra Hts.

AGE GROUP:     7-18 yrs.

CAMP FEE: U.S $95 per child. Please make your check payable to the IGS Camp.

MAX. SEATS:  100. To be filed on first come first served basis.

DEADLENE FOR REGISTRATION: December 15, 1988. Al selected campers will be mailed complete Camp Joining restrictions and Camp It List.

IIGS INTERNATIONAL CAMPING MOVEMENT

The International Institute of Gurmat Studies [Inc]. In a non-political, non-profit and tax exempt Sikh organization. Popularly known as the 11GS of just the IGS, It is the pioneer organization that has taken the Sikh youth camping movement from National ta international level in the last 16 years. To date, It has held 27 Sikh youth Camp within India and abroad, including one such at Nepal [’79), England (‘80), Thailand (81), Canada (82), and ten in the U.S.A [Aug ‘85, Dec ’85, Aug ’86, Dec ‘86, Apr ’87). Over 5,000 young Sikh men and women have already participated in these camps from all over the world.
