By Colleen Beaumier, M.P. Brampton

The election is over and what a Sweet Victory it was. Thank you 10 all who supported the Liberal party and especially to those who Supported ‘and helped me.

I want you to be sure that my commitment to be accessible and to continue to speak out against human right violations will remain a top priority. I also want to assure you that you have elected without a doubt an individual who will be the finest Prime Minister that Canada has ever had.

During the course of this election campaign I have had the Opportunity to meet with him and 10 watch his reaction to those around him. His sincerity along with his down to earth attitude and common sense approach is exactly what Canadians need and deserve. I have watched the Rt. ‘Hon. Jean Chretien for almost 25 years and never once has he violated any of the principles which I hold dear nor has he wavered in his commitment to the people of.

‘There is an enormous task ahead and no one is more capable of tackling the job than our new Prime Minister. Over the next few months [would like to talk to you about some of the experiences that! had during this campaign at the doors of average Canadians. Some shocked me and some delighted me, but I can assure you, they were very enlightening.

So far lam enjoying the job and it is hard to believe that I will actually be paid for what I like doing best…helping people with their problems.

It is time for those of us “of like mind” to get busy. Racism and polarization is brewing in a climate of economic uncertainty. As MP. For Brampton, I will continue to be vocal in the fight to realize a tolerant and open society.
