WSN Service JAMMU: Kashmir militants have kidnaped the Vice Chancellor have kidnaped the Vice Chancellor of Kashmir university Basheer ul Haq and H.L. Khera general manager of Hii dustan Machine Tools, Srinagar in separate incidents in Srinagar.
The body of Mr. Khera and another unidentified man were found by the roadside in a suburb on April 11. The JKLF has not owned responsibility.
The Jammu and Kashmir Students Liberation Front, student wing of JKLF has owned responsibility for both kidnaping a JKSLF spokesman who called the police control room demanded release of three militant detainees and set the deadline for April 9.
The militants also took away Abdul Ghani secretary to the VC. An official spokesman said efforts were on to locate and obtain the release of the three.
Meanwhile, the HMT management has decided to lockout their unit in Srinagar depriving 1,000 people of their jobs.
