On a recently concluded trip of North America, Singh Sahib Bhai Manjit Singh, Jathedar Akal Takhat Sahib, used electronic mail (Email) to send a message to the Sikh Nation all over the world. This message by the highest religious figure in Sikhism was sent to Sikh Professionals, Professors, Scientists, Doctors, Engincers, and students who are members of Khalsa Net. The message by Singh Sahib in Punjabi language was sent in Roman script. Here is the English translation of his message. ‘As soon as the Jathedar posted his message on the Khalsa Net, there was a flood of messages from the Sikhs on the Khalsa Net. Sikhs from all over the world sent messages great joy. Surinder Singh, an engineer in California (who facilitated Jathedar’s message on the Khalsa Net) said, “It is a great and historic day for the Sikh Panth and Khalsa Net that Jathedar Sahib had not only the opportunity 10 witness the functioning of Khalsa Net, but also the opportunity to address the Sikh Nation using the computer technology we are fortunate to receive message from the Jathedar Sahib.”

Gurdi Singh a student at Harvard University said, Let us all does what Jathedar Gurdit Singh, a student Manjit Singh has asked us to do. Let our minds and souls be strengthened in both haanee and baaNa, as the Singh Sahib has prayed for us.”

Baljinder Singh, a finance professional wrote, “t would like to convey my: message to you with great humility ~ given that you A Toe Jathedar and will ask that you preach to Sikhs perhaps you are already aware of this issue, everywhere that it is OK to turn down orders from anes superiors or even ones government if they are not in keeping with Sikh tenets. Specifically that would even that Sikhs should refuse orders to persecute other Sikhs, Muslims, Hindus or people of any religion whatsoever.

Prathyi Pal Singh, a physician from Missouri wrote, “I gives every Sikh a great pleasure to welcome you into our lives and our hearts. We pray to Waheguru Ji that you continue to enjoy His Blessings and His closeness to continue to work for Him under His own guidance and wisdom.”

Sangat Singh from Malaysia responded, “It is a great pleasure to know that Jathedar Prof. Manjit Singh Ji is midst us. Please convey our Guru Fatch to Singh Sahib from Sikh Naujawan Sabha Malaysia and for myself.”

 

S,Jasbir Singh, President, Maboli Systems welcomed Singh Sahibon Khalsa Net by saying that this is an auspicious day for the Sikhs. He thanked him for sharing his enlightened and precious views. S, Jasbir Singh requested and hoped that sharing of views between the Singh Sahib and Khalsa Net would become a regular feature.

Khalsa Net is an international computer network of Sikh professionals and students, It was started about five years ago. A daily Hukamnama (Edict) from Guru Granth Sahib is sent over the Khalsa Net both in English and Punjabi. Information on Sikh historic events is a regular feature of Khalsa Net.
