NEW DELHI: Journalists N. Ram and Chitra Subramaniam alleged that the London based Hindujas were “behind” a code named account in Geneva into which Swedish armaments company Bofors made payments in 1986.

Bofors is alleged to have paid millions of dollars as commission to Indian middlemen for a 1.3 billion dollar field gun deal with New Delhi.

The journalists, both of the Madras based “Hindu” daily, alleged that material made available by “privileged’’ sources showed that behind the account named “Tulip” was a designated account, set up by G.P Hinduja, S.P Hinduja and Prakash Hinduja, all non-resident Indians.
