LONDON: Zimbabwe born Graeme Hick scored the fastest century of the English cricket season and wrote his name on another page of the record books when replaced Sir Donald Bradman as the youngest player to hit 50 centuries.

And with an aggregate of 592 runs without being dismissed, the 24year old batsman is homing in on another record, the 709 hit in successive innings by Indian Khan Mohammed Ibrahim in 1947 before he was out.

Hick, who qualifies to play for England next year, followed his first innings 252 for Worcestershire against Glamorgan at Abergayenny, Wales, with an unbeaten 100 in the same game.

The second century was his 50th in top class cricket at age 24 years and two months. Bradman, the Australian who is rated the greatest batsmen ever and was knighted for his services to cricket.
