Haryana Vikas Party Member of Parliament Jangbir Singh has joined the Congress Minister Bhajan Lal announced at a Press conference here on Sept.30.
Jangbir Singh, lone Opposition Lok Sabha member from Haryana, was elected from the Bhiwani Parliamentary constituency in June 1991, With this, the party number of Congress Lok Sabha members from Haryana has risen to 10.
Jangbir Singh accompanied by Bhajan Lal called on Prime Minister Narasimha Rao, who is also president of the Congress, in New Delhi on Wednesday and requested the latter to allow him to join the party along with his supporters. His request was conceded and he was admitted to the party fold.
