DARTMOUTH, N.H: An arch conservative newspaper here, The Darimouth Review is edited by an expatriate Sikh girl Harmeet Dhillon.
Harmeet Dhillon joined the paper in 1986 and last year the Board of Directors of the paper nominated her as the Editor in Chief.
The paper opposes racial quotas and feminism and it has been thought to have been supported by such powerful conservatives as William F. Buckly and millionaire William Simon.
Dhillon however refutes this image as an exaggeration and points out that she is the third woman editor and second Indian to edit the review since its inception in 1980.
Harmeet was born in Chandigarh and immigrated to United States with her parents in 1971. They lived in New York City before moving to North Carolina. She is majoring in classical studies and plans either to become a journalist or join the government or a conservative think tank.
