JALANDHAR: The newly formed Akali Dal (Panthic) headed by Sant Ajit Singh has decided to align with like remanded political parties in Punjab to pursue its political agenda of securing “autonomy for Punjab’’ inconsonance with spirit of Akali Dal’s founders* objective of “Halimi raj,” reports say, Stating this at a press conference on behalf of the party president, former Akal Takht Jathedar Darshan Singh said “Halimi raj in the state would have a place of honor and dignity for all, including non-Sikhs, and the objective would be to achieve autonomy through peaceful and democratic struggle.
