GURDIAL SINGH RANDHAWA is the General Secretary of the Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee of Los Angeles. Mr. Randhawa with excellent command of Punjabi and English conducts the proceedings of the Gurdwara to the entire satisfaction of the Sangat. Mr, Randhawa who was born at village Bure Nangal, district Amritsar, got his elementary education from Government Higher Secondary School, Mehta Nangal. After graduation he got a degree of Bachelor of Teaching (BT) from Arya College, Nawan Shahar, Jullundur. He was a teacher for fifteen years in J.S.F.H. Khalsa Higher Secondary School, Nawan Shahar before he migrated to US.A in 1983,
Mr. Randhawa was one of the seven organizers of World Sikh Youth Convention held in 1984 in Los Angeles, California. He also presided over the International Sikh Youth Federation, the L.A. Chapter, and resigned only when he was elected as the General Secretary of the Sikh Study Circle (Sikh Gurdwara Los Angeles) in April 1986. Till to date, he is serving in that capacity. Mr. Randhawa is dealing with Gem Stones and is owner of a firm with the name of Guru Imports International Sales.
Mr. Randhawa has varied interests in life, besides being at the helm of the religious affairs of the Sikh community, he is equally interested in the promotion of the cultural activities in California, and He was one of the organizers to arrange a feast of Punjabi culture on the Visakhi Day last year.
