CHANDIGARH, India, July 13, Reuter: Two unidentified gunmen burst into a Punjab State Electricity Board office today and opened fire with sub machine guns, killing four office workers, police said. Police said the gunmen entered
the office in Beas, Amritsar district about 3 p.m. (0930 gmt) immediately opened fire, spraying bullets around the office. Those killed included an engineer, a clerk, an officer worker and one unidentified person. An accountant was wounded. The gunmen escaped on a motor scooter, police said. Earlier today the bodyguard of the Gurdaspur district police chief was shot dead by a gunman on a motor scooter, the Press Trust of India (PTD) said.
