LUDHIANA: The International Human Rights Organization (THRO) has sought the Punjab Government’s intervention in an incident that took place inside a local police station where a son was allegedly forced to disrobe his mother before she was brutally tortured and molested by the cops, in May, The IHRO stated in a press release, that Devki Rani (45), was dragged out of the local civil hospital by the Alam Park police party while she was attending to her ailing husband and taken to the police post. “I was stripped to the skin and molested by sub inspector Surinder Singh. Then, I was tortured and molested by ASI Paramjit Singh, head constable “baba,” constable Romesh and two other me Devki Rani said in a notarized affidavit submitted to the THRO, according to its chairman, D.S. Gill.
