CHANDIGARH : General K. Sunderji. has taken over as the Chief of the Indian Army on Saturday. General Sunderji laid a wreath at the Amar Jawan Jyoti in the morning and thereafter was presented the Guard of Honour by the Conlingaits of Infantery outside army headquarters at New Delhi.

In an interview with the Indian Express, General Sunderji said that he plans to begin restructuring of the army to support a revitalized India of tomorrow. General Sunderji said that in this institutional method of restructuring, the objective would be to make the army combat effective for the battle field of the Nation.
