SURAT (GUJRAT) (PTI): A 15 member gang of youths armed with knives and swords looted polished diamonds worth Rs 30 million from a well-known diamond merchant firm here Dec.4 and escaped after injuring five workers and the watchman police said.
The youths gained entry into the firm posing as customers. When the workers brought out the best gems they stabbed them and the watchman and fled with the booty police said.
The injured have been admitted to the new civil hospital police added.
