BANGALORE(PTI): Two per sons have been killed and another has been reported missing after violence broke out afresh ay Bhatkal town in Kamataka on Aug.20,

Police have apprehended eight persons in connection with the disturbance,

Additional Director general of police (law and order), S,C.Burman, told PTI here Sun day that curfew had been imposed on the town following clashes between two groups,

The situation in the town was now peaceful.

He said while one Person was fatally stabbed On Friday, another body was found in a forest near the town. Four persons have been detained for interrogation in each of these cased police have also gathered some information regarding the missing person, he added.

Intermittent clashes between two groups since April 1 last has so far claimed 13 lives in the town.

Meanwhile, opposition leader in the state assembly, R.V.Deshpande, urged the state government to deal sternly with, antisocial elements and take measures lo prevent recurrence of violence.
