NEW DELHI, India, June 25, Reuter: Gurkha militants ambushed a police raiding party in North eastern India on Saturday, sparking a two hour battle in which five people were killed, the Press Trust of India (PTD) reported.

It said four of the dead were members of the Gorkha National Liberation Front (GNLF) fighting in the tea growing region of Darjeeling for their own state within India.
