WELLAND; Jean Chretien says his first priorities in government would be to launch his jobs plan and scrap the Tary deal to privatize Pearson airport. He said that he will introduce his $6 billion “infrastructure” program which would get economy going. On the airport deal, Chretien said he would use legislation if necessary to halt the agreement the conservative government signed last with Pay port Inc, He called the GST devastating Air Canadians, a nightmare for small business, costly to administrator and a major reason why business people are dealing ‘under the table’ to an aid tax.
