BOMBAY: Farha and Raj Babbar have been adjudged best actress and actor for their performance in the films, “Paap Ko Jala Kar Doonga” and “Andha Yudh” respectively, by the Bombay Film Awards Committee on April 9. Announcing the 16th annual awards, committee Chairman Ramiesh Hemdev said that “Zakhmee Aurat” has bagged as many as six awards including the best supporting actress and actor for Rama Vij and anupam Kher, respectively. The best picture award went to Ashok Punjabi while Avtar Bhogal received an award for direction, Roopesh Kumar for his comedian’s role and Bappi Lahiri for music.

The awards are scheduled to be presented at a function here on April 19.

Shakti Kapoor and Kalpana Iyer will be given special awards for their roles in “Kahan Hai Kanoon” and “Mil Gayi Manzil Mujhe” respectively while Raza Murad has been adjudged the best villain for his performance in “New Delhi.”
