We made our way towards the chief minister’s car which had caught fire,” he said recounting that he saw at least three bodies lying near the car. “I saw some policemen lying on the ground covered in blood, I cried for help, but everybody seemed frozen to the ground,” said Manmohan, “Finally driver of a police Gypsy rushed us to hospital.”
“Beant Singh’s body was completely dismembered. I saw someone pick up parts of an arm and a leg that probably belonged to him and place it in a bag,” said an eyewitness who did not want to be named.
