I corroborate the statement of S,Daya Singh Sarpanch of Village Kakkar given to the Punjab Human Rights team in my presence, .

I was present in both the meetings which Brig. R.P. Sinh called in Sarangra Military Camp. I am only relating the part of the incident where I individually answered the Brig. and his behavior on 8.3.91. _

When Brig. RP. Singh asked us, tell me how the Arms and Ammunition is getting across the Border, I told him that Brig. should be in the know of this, how can we. There are searchlights at the Border, Barbed wire, there is BSF and CRPF and there is Military so only Brig. should know about it. On this Brig. got’ very very annoyed and told me to shup up and also said “I have not called you to see your white pagri.

You cannot question me. The day there is a single round fired near your village I will tell you, how Arms come across the Border”, The he enquired the names of my sons which I gave and were noted down by his staff. .

All the time Brig. R.P. Sinh was in extremely foul mood. I feel in anger a person’s inner most feelings come out which he normally keeps under control. In this anger the truth came out as to what is the inner feeling and planning of the army and how they want to finish or wipe off our Sikh community.

The way Brig. R.P. Sinh insulted and humiliated us, our community,’ our religion and our womenfolk is unbearable. We feel it is better to die than to live in such humiliation. To hush up this’ incident so that it does not get known all over the world how the Indian Army’s officers he have with Sikhs, we are being threatened and terrorized. We and our families’ live: are under constant danger.

If I am killed than please take it that Army have got me eliminated to shut my mouth,

I am prepared to say all what I have told you in any court of the world. ;
