NEW DELHI: Elections to the newly created 70-member legislative assembly for the Indian capital will be held after completion of delimitation in August this year, a tentative time-table drawn up by the election commission Thursday shows.

According to the program, the raft proposals for delimitation of seats would be published on May. 26 and the last date for receipt of objections and suggestions will be June 16.

‘The commission will complete’ public hearing of the objections: ‘on July 10 and the delimitation order-would be finally published in the official Gazette on Aug, 1992,

Election commission sources: said elections to the new assembly could be held any time between’ October and November this year.
