BHOPAL: Eight persons, including six policemen, were injured when a crude bomb exploded in the busy it ware area of the old city March 12.

According to police sources, the incident took place around 2:20 p.m. soon after the Friday prayers were over, the sources said that the bomb was not hurled by any one, but came down from the roof of a shop. It exploded near a police picket.

However, a top intelligence of facial denied that there was any link between this blast and the Bombay explosions, “This is not something serious, It was not a bomb in the regular sense. Someone had warped some nails and iron scrap in a plastic bag which contained explosives,” he told the times of India News Service.
