SATNAM SINGH DHAMI, MD, was born at village Nurpur near Garhdiwal, distr. Hoshiarpur. His father S. Joginder was highly respected person in the area.
Dr. Dhami completed his MBBS degree from Government College Rohtak in 1968. He did his post-graduation from Government Medical College, Amritsar in 1971.
Later young Dhami joined ES.1 hospital at Ludhiana as a Child Specialist.
Dr. Dhami migrated to U.S.A. in 1974. He did his residency in Ped. in New York.
Meanwhile, Satnam travelled pack to India to marry Dr. Surjit Khera in 1975. Dr. Surjit Kaur also got her MBBS degree from Rohtak in 1970. She got MD from Post Graduate Institute, Chandigarh, in 1973. She did her residency in medicine in New York before entering into the medical practice in 1978.
