El Centro: Mayor David Singh Dhillon proudly declares his candidacy for third term with the City Council, Dhillon has served for eight years (2 terms) as Mayor, which makes him the longest standing elected official in the U.S. of Sikh heritage. Since Dhillon has represented the South Califomia Desert communities tremendous economic growth and job creation has taken place, while youth and adults have enjoyed more outlets of recreation on safer and safer streets. Dhillon has devoted all his love and energy to his family, community and the Sikh causes of equality and human rights. Dhillon, now 31, was only 23 years old when first elected (the youngest Mayor ever).

“After eight years, I am still excited about serving the people. I have more knowledge and energy then ever before.” Also Dhillon says, “l always appreciates the love and support I receive from the Sikh community throughout California, the U.S. and Canada.
