BHOPAL: Deputy Prime Minister Devi Lal Thursday declared that he would not contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha poils

Devi Lal said he wanted to bring the nation’s farmers under a single forum as they constituted about 80% of the population and to help forma farmer’s government in the county.

The deputy prime minister said the anti-defection law would be scrapped if the Janata Dal (S) came to power at the center after the mid-term polls he said adding that due to the law all members of Parliament were forced to act like bounded laborers

He alleged that the anti-defection law had been passed at the behest of capitalists and because of this a government of farmers could not be formed at the center.
