BARODA, GUJARAT: Baroda Managed to stave off outright defeat against Delhi but could not prevent the champions from making their eleventh entry into the Ranji trophy final by virtue of a 326-run first innings lead as their four day charminar challenge semi-final ended in a draw here on March 5th

Baroda, forced to follow on after collapsing for 234 in their first knock in reply to Kelhi’s first innings score of 560, showed greater determination and will to fight in the second essay to force a draw.

A sterling unbeaten 101 by wicket Keeper batsman Nayan Mongia, who wan run out for 41 in the first knock, prevented Delhi from inflicting the ignominy of an outright defeat on Baroda as the home side ended the day and match at 225 for four.
