KANPUR(PTI): Leader of the Opposition combine, Janata Dal, Arun Nehru, said the Congress(1) faced the prospect of a “total debacle” in the general elections. Nehru, contesting for the Lok Sabha from Billhaur constituency, told PTI that the main issue against the Congress (1) was its “failure” in managing the affairs of the nations. Nehru apprehended that special police or security forces would be deployed in Billahur and Fatehpur, the constituency of Vishwa nath Pratap Singh, with a view to manipulating the polls.
