A very happy and successful reunion of the family of S. Pritam Singh and his son, Dr. Amrit Singh was held in Los Angeles. Over 1,000 attended the event on the eve of Sri Akhand Path Bhog Seva performed by the Singh family at the North Vermont Ave, Gurdwara in Los Angeles. Included in the weekend events was a reception for. Gurnam Singh Pamma, hosted by Dr. Piara Singh and Dr. Dhillon, executive and president of the Gurdwara. As Sardar Pamma spoke he first of all congratulated the family of S. Pritam Singh and Dr. Amrit Singh for the union of these family members after a long period. Thereafter he stressed the Unity of the Sikh Nation at this ime when a drastic change in forming Government of India is likely to take place on the results of election of the Parliament. The Sikhs have always been important to India and they deserve the utmost respect and civil justice for their sacrifices “and services to the state of India, Sikhs role is very vital and important at this juncture as Sikhs of the World resolve and proclaim their determination to ‘Resist, through all legitimate means, all such attempts to devalue and liquidate the Sikh people. In a free India and they consequently demand forthwith the rulers of India viz President and newly appointed Prime Minister of India to enable the Sikhs to live as respectable and equal citizens of the Union of India ‘Farther Mr. Pamma strongly condemned the so-called faked Sants, self-styled “beads of Sikh sec is and others who are bent upon to divide the Sikh nation and “will have to face the consequences if they do not come under one Khalsa flag and Sikh Rehat Niryada of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib. Lately S.Gumam S. Pamma d $1,000.00 towards the Gurdwara. Thereafter S: Harbans Singh Sraon, President of the W, S.O. called upon the Sikh congregation in joining World Sikh Organization historic World Sikh Conference on June 8, 1996 at L.A. above named Gurdwara. In the last Lachman S. Aujla also congratulated on the happy union of Dr. Amrit family and thanked the Sikh Sangat and the management of the Gurdwara towards their contributions for the noble cause of the Sikh nation. The function ended at 2:30 p.m.
