BEIJING: Spokesman of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Saturday expressed hope that disputes in South Asia would be ended through friendly consultations.
In response to questions submitted earlier this week regarding the situation in the Indian subcontinent, the spokesman said, “countries in South Asia are China’s close neighbors.
“China sincerely hopes that all the countries in South Asia will on the basis of the five principles of peaceful co-existence; resolve their differences and disputes through friendly consultations so as to contribute to peace, stability and development in this region.”
