By Our Correspondent SILVER SPRING, MD: The Guru Nanak Foundation of America, on Oct 29, held a diwan to commemorate the Gurgadi Divas the day on which Guru Gobind Singh Ji ended the tradition of personal Gurus of the Sikhs and made the Guru Grant Sahib our Guru.
Reena Soni, 15 and Gurpreet Singh, 12 spoke, in Punjabi, on the importance of the occasion. The Ragi Jatha of Bhai Jagmo han Singh rendered Kirtan.
The GNFA will hold a one day parents camp on November 11. The camp will cover topics like Maryada, Sikh Sansar and Western Society and Sikhism.
