NEW DELHI: The controversial godman Chandraswamy is a worried man today, as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) put his brother and private secretary, Vikram Singh, to sustained questioning in the “interrogation chamber” at its CGO Complex multi-storyed office.

Informed sources on the condition of anonymity told last week that these two persons had been summoned by the CBI on the charges of “harboring” with the contract killer Babloo Srivastava, some fortnight ago, interrogation is continuing till the time of going to the press, While Vikram Singh is proving to be a “hard nut,” as put it by the sleuths, the brother of Chandraswamy has given several interesting details about the tantrik. The CBI, during the course of investigation, has interrogated at least 50 Persons and dispatched teams to several parts in the country to collect evidence against Chandraswamy. Sustained interrogation _ of Chandraswamy himself, his devotees, Relatives and private secretary by the CBI has made the godman worried. According to informed’ sources at least three Union Ministers considered close to the Swamy have been making discreet enquiries about the possibility of the godman being put behind bars. Since Chandraswamy’s efforts to speak to the Prime Minister even over the telephone had not succeeded in view of recent developments, these Union Ministers are helping him in his crucial round of battle against his foes.
