NEW DELHI(PTI):The government July 27 said no land has been allotted to the American multinational Cargill for setting up a salt manufacturing unit near Kandla port in western India, Replying to the charge made by opposition Janata Dal leader George Fernandes that 15,000 acres of land was to be allotted for the American concern surface transport minister Jagdish Tytler said the defense ministry had requested his ministry that it may be consulted on the matter and in his note Tytler had categorically stated that defense related aspects of the project should be clearly examined while the detailed project report was being prepared.
