HOBART: Australian fast bowler Greg ‘Campbell won the hand of his sweetheart after he strung a banner reading “Will U marry me?” from the balcony at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.
Kibra Wittison watching Australia’s second test victory against England on television, told reporters she just could not resist the proposal from 19,000 km away.
Witelson said she knew who wrote it because Campbell had in the past come up with many different ways of proposing to her. “When Greg retires he won’t write a book about cricket,” she said.
He has come up with so many different ways of proposing to me that his book will have to be called 10001 Different Ways to Propose to Your Girlfriend”, Witelson said, The couple plan to marry next April.
