New Delhi — The Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister, Mr. Buta Singh has been admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital after he complained of severe pain in chest on Thursday afternoon.
According to an official bulletin issued on Thursday evening by the hospital superintendent, Mr. Buta Singh’s condition was satisfactory. He was under close observation and was likely to remain in hospital for a few days, the bulletin added.
Doctors attending on him said it was too early to say whether he had suffered a heart attack or not.
Mr. Buta Singh, who was due to participate in the discussion on his ministry’s demands for grants in the Lower House, was sitting in the Speaker’s room when he felt the pain around 1:15 p.m. on Thursday.
Doctors at Parliament House examined him immediately and gave first aid before he was taken to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.
