LONDON: Two British conservationists, stars of the 1966 film “Born Free” settled a libel action with the BBC on Thursday over allegations about their dedication to animal rights, A participant in a BBC radio phone-in had made defamatory remarks about Virginia McKenna and Bill Travers, saying they were responsible for the deaths of six tigers and for separating young lion cubs from their mothers while making “Born Free”, a lawyer for the campaigners said.
