MYDERABAD: The mid tournament favorites, Mahindra and Mahindra virtually assured of a spot in the Nizam Gold Cup Football final when they not ched a two goal advantage in the first leg of the double leg semifinal against BSF (jalahar) Leading by an odd goal in three at halftime, the Bombay team trooped out a 31 winners at the Lal Bahadur Stadium. The ebullinet striker Mushtaque Ali was the toast of Mahindras flattering victory. ‘The oninipresent etriker strock two brilliant goals in the first half, But it was the first goal which knocked the stuffing out of the BSF challenge coming as it were as early as in the fourth minute.
Mahindra’s third goal came from a top of the box shot of their imaginative midfielder Santosh Kashyap, midway through the second half. The security men were rather fortunate to have pulled one back through Jagmoban Singh who converted a spot kick.
